my handset from original purchase lasted for years then the next 2 were no good at all too expensive

The chair works fine but watch out for the hand control/battery. It costs $250 now for just that and when it goes out, like ours did, there is no alternative but buying the entire control/battery unit. You cannot just replace the battery.
