If you are looking for a daily living bath aid that is economical, gets the job done and is easy to use, the Aquajoy Saver Fixed Back Bath Lift by Drive Medical is the tub chair lift for you. Senior Flourish’s rated this lifter #3 in the bath tub lift category.
Set Up:
It is a one piece design – slick and smooth without the fuss. It comes with 4 suction cups to help it adhere to the tub and features a quick release design. The instructions are straight forward and there are no tools required to assemble.
Ease of Use:
The Aquajoy Saver Fixed Back Bath Lift is basic, but gets the job done! It is a battery operated remote that is easily plugged into the wall when not in use. It is recommended to keep the hand control on the charge continuously when not being used and it features a light on the remote indicating when it is in charge mode. This lift features a safety switch so it will not lower when it has a low battery and flashes to notify you.
The hand control has 2 basic large buttons for up and down, is waterproof and floats for easy access while in the bath. It has the capability to stop when needed if you do not want to lower to the bottom of the tub.
Comfort:
Because this bath lifter does not recline and stays in an upright position, it may not be the most comfortable for people that have back pain or have a kyphotic spine (curvature of the back), but it does give more foot room overall in the bathtub, if this is not an issue. It is not padded and made with a plastic finish.
